Purpose

Policy Statement
Accessibility

Ensure campus facilities, buildings, and pathways are wheelchair accessible, provide alternative formats for printed materials (e.g., Braille, audio), Ensure University websites, online platforms, and digital resources are accessible.

Disability Accommodations

Provide reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities, provide reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities and provide accessible housing options for students with disabilities.

Support Services

Establish a Disability Support Services office to coordinate accommodations, provide counselling services for students with disabilities, Provide assistive technology and training.

Employment

Ensure equal employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, Provide reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities and Provide support and resources for employees with disabilities.

Compliance

Comply with national and international disability laws and regulations and establish a grievance procedure for disability-related concerns.

Review and Revision

This policy will be reviewed and revised every two years or as needed.
