Scope

This policy applies to university campuses, Food service providers (canteens, cafes, restaurants), Catering services for events and University events and conferences

Policy Statements
Sustainable Food Sourcing

Prioritize locally sourced and seasonal produce, incorporate organic and fair-trade options, Support farmers using eco-friendly methods.

Food Procurement

Ensure transparency in food sourcing, prioritize certifications and Implement food waste reduction strategies.

Food Service Providers

Include sustainable food sourcing requirements in contracts, provide training on sustainable food practices and encourage sustainable menu options.

Student and Staff Engagement

Conduct regular awareness campaigns, establish feedback channels, Integrate sustainable food education into curriculum.

Review and Revision

This policy will be reviewed and revised every two years or as needed.
